Capstone IT 2022 Team Retreat – Honoring Our Families’ Role in Continued Growth

During difficult times, companies grow and adapt because they’ve remained true to their core values and tapped into the transformative power of their internal assets. If Capstone IT has persisted through challenges to achieve our goals so far this year, it’s in part because of our commitment to Servant Partnership™, an accomplishment that would be impossible without our exceptional team.

But great teamwork and execution can’t happen in a vacuum. That’s why, at our annual Capstone IT 2022 Team Retreat, we wanted to underscore the amazing support system that enables our every achievement: our employees and their families. It’s through the ongoing loyalty and encouragement of those we live and work with that make our achievements on the job possible, and we strive to make sure our culture and values reflect that truth.

It Takes Two to Tango

Capstone IT 2022 Team Retreat – Honoring Our Families’ Role in Continued GrowthOur 2022 Team Retreat was held in Omaha for the first time and included a trip to the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. The theme of this year’s retreat was “It Takes 2 2 Tango,” a reference to the year as well as the fact that we owe everything to family support. The event also featured decorations by Theresa Mantilla (Jairo Silva’s mother), a 5K and 10K Fun Run, Latin-themed games like Lotería (similar to Bingo), and Latino folk dances.

We also enjoyed the usual shop talk and a review of the current state of the business. As always, it was a great time. Memories were made and bonds were strengthened, two things that sustain the great workplace culture for which Capstone IT is known.

Reflecting on Growth

Our steadfast commitment to company growth and employee experience makes it hard to step back and appreciate how far we’ve come. Since the halfway point of 2022 has come and gone, everyone at Capstone IT took a moment to appreciate the opportunity we are blessed with, reflecting on the promising revenue projections for both our IT solutions and IT staffing sides of the business. With each passing year, we’ve strengthened our operational processes, technological tools, marketplace reach, and employee experience—we can’t wait to see where this growth takes us in 2023.

Achieving this level of success during uncertain times is another testament to the support of our families, which in turn fuels the hard work we do every day. We celebrated the hard work of a team of Capstone innovators who have earned prestigious VMware certification.

“I’d like to think our work is exceptional because our employees feel truly fulfilled,” says Jim Richards, President of Capstone IT. “We do what we can to build up our workforce with events like the 2022 Team Retreat, and we salute the family members who provide stability at home. I couldn’t ask for a more willing and energized team, and it’s touching to see the Capstone IT community continue to expand year by year as our families grow.”

For those who made this event such a pleasure, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Let’s continue to tap into the love and support our families provide and stay true to the core values that make us exceptional.
