Recruitment Fraud Alert

Capstone IT is committed to protecting job seekers from scams and impersonation attempts. Unfortunately, recruitment fraud is a growing concern, and bad actors may falsely represent themselves as our employees to collect personal information or money. We want to make it clear how to spot and avoid fraudulent behavior.

What Capstone IT Will Never Do:

  • Ask for your Social Security Number, banking details, or payment during early stages of the hiring process.
  • Use free email services (like Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.com) to contact you.
  • Conduct interviews solely via text message or messaging apps.
  • Pressure you to respond quickly without proper details or verification steps.

How to Identify a Legitimate Capstone IT Recruiter:

  • All communication will come from an official @capstonec.com email address.
  • You’ll speak with our team via phone, video, or in-person interviews — not exclusively over text.
  • Our job postings are listed only on trusted platforms and our official website.

What to Do if You’re Unsure:

If you receive a message claiming to be from a Capstone IT recruiter and want to verify its authenticity:

  • Contact us directly using our Contact Us form
  • Forward suspicious messages to: fraud@capstonec.com
  • Do not share sensitive information until you’ve confirmed the recruiter’s identity.

Report a Fraud Attempt:

If you believe someone is misusing our name or impersonating our team, please let us know. We will take every report seriously and investigate accordingly. Capstone IT values your safety and privacy. Stay informed and thank you for helping us protect the integrity of the recruiting process.
